About the Irish Podcast Awards

The Irish Podcast Awards is dedicated to celebrating brilliant Irish podcasts. Whether you make your show in the kitchen or you’re a charity, a production company, a broadcaster, a publisher or even an Instagrammer, we’re here to champion great shows and help them grow their audience.

The IPAs judges are from across the Irish audio and media sector and podcast companies from across the world. We’re an independent awards, not aligned to any particular company, and will treat everybody the same.

The IPAs work closely with the British Podcast Awards and Australian Podcast Awards to share best practice, and all have similar aims to grow awareness of podcasts from their home countries.

We opened for entries in April 2022, with nominees announced on 26th July 2022. The first ceremony, in Dublin, will be on Friday 16th September 2022. Tickets are on sale now.

As well as our main judged awards, we also have a Listeners’ Choice category – a free public vote – where listeners can vote for any Irish podcast. This opened on 26th July and closes at 23:59 on Sunday 11th September.
