Irish Podcast Awards Open for Entries

The inaugural Irish Podcast Awards have opened for entries at

The awards are designed to reward excellence in content and production, and are also looking for entries that offer podcast audiences fresh perspectives, innovative formats or presentation and give a voice to those underrepresented in traditional media platforms.

A range of categories are open to podcasters including genres like Best Comedy Podcast, Best Current Affairs Podcast and Best Sport Podcast.

There are also a number of special awards including one for smaller shows delivering for their audience (the Bullseye Award), a category for a compelling piece of audio (Moment of the Year) and an award for creativity. There’s also awards up for grabs for Best Sales team, Best Commercial Campaign and Best Marketing Campaign.

Matt Deegan from the Irish Podcast Awards says: “Podcasting in Ireland continues to grow and grow with an amazing range of shows, delivering brilliant content for listeners. We’re excited to be able to reward this creativity at the Irish Podcast Awards”.

The awards are open for entries until Friday 13th May with a ceremony on the 16th September in Dublin.
